VIENNESE FELT MALLET (EF300 series)

The Viennese felt mallet has a wooden, cork or hard felt core tightly wrapped in felt and fixed on the stick with a threaded cap.

The special feature is that the mallet's degree of hardness can be varied by adjusting the screw.

In comparison with the German felt mallet models, such as the Steiner/Benni Forster series, Viennese felt mallets are generally harder and have a tight felt wrap.

After a relatively long breaking-in period, this type is ideal for rolls, and depending on the degree of hardness, rhythmically dense passages can also be played with clarity.

The EF300 mallets with wooden core are versatile in use and offer a wide range of timbres.
